A lot of drugs don't even have to be flushed in their original pill form. Some are excreted (pissed out) completely or metabolized into more potent forms, and later excreted. There are also other components we should be worried about than just heavy metals like Mercury and Lead. Oral hormonal contraceptives are excreted in the urine and can't be filtered. This eventually makes its way into fish and into our drinking water, and lowers our sperm count progressively.
