I’m Joe
I’m 39, I’ve been married 13 years, and I have a three year-old boy, Ethan.
I do some outdoor writing, some guiding, and I’ve just started doing some web development for a small (non fishing) retail store. I work out of my house.
I’m a graduate of now-defunct Rhode Island School of Photography, and I have also been studying business part time for the last six years. Before that, I worked in the printing industry for thirteen years as a Pre-Press Tech.
I really enjoy surfcasting, though I did not come to it until I was in my early twenties. Block Island is my favorite place to fish.
I’ve been writing for three years. I enjoy the outdoor writing, but there are limited venues for surf writers. I’ll write for OTW for as long as they’ll have me, but I’d also like to expand into the mainstream press. I’ve done a little comedy, some travel, and historical writing. Thanks for all the writing encouragement I have received from the members of this site.
