I was going to say that it was copper with a patina fnnish.. that was made by hammering a sheet of copper into a wooden form that is the rough shape of the bass, then all of the details are hammered in with different shaped tools... Its called 'chasing' Nice specimen

My lovely wife got me a work sharp 3000 tool sharpener. It works very well. Turned a plug with it yesterday right after sharpening my skew chisel and it is so smooth it barely needs sanding.
But most importantly I got to spend time with both sides of the family (and still am) and enjoying that the most.
