I didn't even take a summer vacation... but if you want a rundown...
June, was lucky enough to be at the Canal for a few days of that craziness... stopped at the east end and found ZERO, while I was cursing myself in my car for wasting a day for nothing, I looked left to see a lone fish break from the road near the run
I decided that I would go an investigate... first cast found a fish around 35 pounds and it was fast and furious from there.
Later in the month I popped the big question to my girlfriend of 7 years, we're getting married 8/22/09 and NO I didn't check the tides first

Starting using a wetsuit this year and will never go back. Had one 40 pound fish in August, all while I tried to plan out the magazine going into the fall.. it was fun and a major learning experience. Things should be smoother this year---we shall see.
