the original is a wood body, carved head with scales made from some netting that I found on some infant equipment around the house, I stretched it over the plug body and sprayed polyurethane on it to secure it, then I reproduced it by molding the original and ran plastic tubing through the mold, dusted it with metallic powder pigments and poured feather-lite plastic, the tube lets me through wire it and place tail weight(s) wherever I need to...the netting creates the effect of little mirrors all over the body, finished it with system3....I like carving more than turning and now I can reproduce them...I located a pottery supply website that sells mats in various scale pattern sizes so I'm going to try actual scale patterns on the next body...
ps....Hope everyone has a Happy and Safe New Year!
