Chef, I just bought the last American made VS(200) we had in the store. It is the gold model which I'm not crazy about but the price was right as well as it's origin(USA). It is different than the overseas model in that the GOLD color is duller than the other version. It also has the old stlye handle. Everything else seems the same!

Gold is perfect for fishing the federal hill headwaters.

I did,,, it was a VS250,,,, no problems,,,,

I did have an issue with my American VS200 made with chinese parts .....

With the prices they charge you figure they would have kept production here! What is their profit margin now 500%! It is really scary if a company like Van Stall goes to China. The manufacturing sector is in trouble and it will continue to get worse!

Sorry for the rant but this really pisses me off!

truthfully I am surprised it took this long,figured the parts have been being made there for awhile now,it is to bad they wouldn't keep them in the u.s. hopefully the quality won't change.
