Skiing was ok. We made 4 or 5 runs. (stayed on the greens as my wife doesn't have toe confidence to ski anything steeper) Then we went inside to get a cup of hot chocolate. On the way back out to ski some more Mary says to me "my boot broke". I turned around expecting to see a popped buckle, but nope. The whole toe of her boot broke off. She said it just popped off.
Mary was disappointed that we couldn't ski anymore. I was thankful that the boot didn't fall apart when she was skiing. If that had happened while we were coming down the hill she probably would have gotten hurt.

Glad to hear Mary didn't get hurt on that one - pretty freaky -
I think it was God's way of telling you to get right home and finish another display case...

Some I bought, some I traded for and some were given to me.
Thanks again to all who helped me out.

Nice
Another nice display case that I have done in the past is a glass top coffee table, little higher than normal and about thirty inches square. 1/4" glass and have the edges polished, they come out pretty nice.

Giant Pikie
Before I started building I got one of your Giant Pikies. The finish and the painting were unlike anything I had seen to that point. That plug inspired me to make a quality plug. I love that plug, but if you have room in your case I would gladly send it along. You were such a tremendous help when I started making plugs. That afternoon in your shop when you took me through the whole plug making process, from blank to finish sanded. There were things I learned there that I have never seen since. The plug I am talking about is 8 1/2 inches long, metallic green back, metallic silver around the eyes and belly, red blush, brass belly grommets. It's a beauty. Gary
