I've come close to doing that before a few times, good thing I have tough skin, rusty hooks are even worse.

I got myself a while back and put hook protectors on all my hanging plugs.Lucky it almost went all the way through easy push and snip.

Thats why I like the tubing for hook protectors. I have done that a few times as I have some hanging also and thank goodness I had the tubing on the barbs!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

just be glad that hook was semi sterile and wasn't just in a Bass.

everyone has their battle scars... maybe your hook protectors
should be red instead of Clear....

I've done that several times a year hanging plugs. Fortunately almost all mine are barbless. Barbed treble hooks scare me.

Done that ... hurts ,, but at the same time feels like setting the hook on a fish ..
