That fish was actually caught off Block island jigging with an umbrella jig with a pork rind teaser... yes .. it was cheating... I have a good work friend whose dad is John parente out of galilee and we go out at least once each year. His tracking GPS has all the great spots around block he has a bertram 34 and is a wonderful guy to fish with but he only uses jigging and will not let you fish with plugs since he does not want tangles.. veryone has to fish the same way...

Raven- dangerous question asking me about bowl pics... I have been addicted to bowl turning for the past 5-6 years and my current addiction to plugs has given me a brief rest on the bowl front..

here are a few bowl pics with one segmented bowl which I have only tried a few times but is a lot of fun...

Raven... I am about 50/50 surfcasting vs trolling behind my Pungo

When I troll my go to methods are sluggos or Tube n'worm
here is a pic of some blues caught trolling last fall up off Manchester(MA) on my kayak bow... I have a rod holder in front and 2 behind my seat... I have been thinking about a SOT for some time and may get a used one this spring

I also troll with BIG 9" troller slopeheads in yellow or white and 9" black weighted needles
