New Penn 5600L Bait runner Type
The new penn 5600L reels arrived today they are calling them a Live Liner . They are made with aluminum Housing , Rotor & spool they come with the HT100 drag material and have 6 Bearings, super roller and Infinite Anti-Reverse. reel looks great and feels good.holds about 290yds of 15 or 260 of 17 lb test. costs about $135.

hey guys and gals new to this site.Been reading it for a few weeks but havent wrote anything.Looks like a good reel ,does it only come in one size,if so how big is it compared to the SS. THANX

Hey Milo, welcome to Striped-Bass.Com ...

Looking at the picture, it looks to be the size of a 5500 SS, changed bail arangement, plastic or graphite controls - can't tell.... But certainly about time...

No mention on their website about it but that's not suprising. For some reason the tackle manu's tend to be behind on updating them...

the reel is all metal including the bail arms. it is a little bigger than the 5500SS
it holds 40yds more of 15 lb test
