that's what i kinda figured, DJ, for prolly 95.5% of the applications.

for that .5%, when the school of bunker is in close, around docks in harbors, close to yer feet,,,,,,,,would you still just open the bail and let it swim to where the bigger bass are?

makes sense and thanks again for your willingness to share. still reading your book from two years ago, Striper Strategies is next on the Hit List, m'man. can't wait to employ this method during Spring and Fall,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Dawggie!!!
First, m'man, I never said anything about opening any bail. That was the voices inside your head talking. Keep it close when snag and droppin.

Second the bunka won't swim to where the big bass are...that is what the weight is for. The bunker instinctively will want to stay with the school (safety in numbers). The weight will tire the bunka and it will fall into and on to the big bass' dinner table.
Remember that these bunker are sometimes 2 lbs. or more. I liken them to a bluefish, similar power and speed esp. with that forked tail...minus teeth.

When the big bunker are present I always carry a snag rig of some sort in my plugbag, if ther bunker show...I am ready!!!
