Mike that is on Waquoit Bay. There is free ramp, with free parking right before the boat yard. Bring a tube wih you, the water is shallow and there the tubing is great there, don't forget some lite tackle rods too.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all our campers:
Access to the Washburn Island Campground is by boat only.
Camping on Washburn Island is a primitive camping experience.
There is no water ,showers and telephones on the island. Please bring adequate potable water to provide each member in your party with a gallon of water per day.
No open fires are allowed on the island. Please bring a portable stove using man-made fuels or a charcoal grill.
Please carry out everything you carried in.
Ticks are present on Washburn Island, please check yourself throughly.
There are two nearby launch sites available, however parking is only available at White's Landing (see directions below).

From Boston: Follow Rte. 3 South to Sagamore Bridge/Cape Cod Canal. Follow Route 6 East over the bridge to Exit 2 and the intersection with Route 130. Follow Route 130 South to Great Neck Road in Mashpee. Just after the Flume restaurant, bear right to the Mashpee Rotary. Halfway around the rotary take Route 28 North. Take a left on a small road immediately after Edwards Boat Yard (4 miles from the Mashpee Rotary). Parking is only available in a large town administered parking area adjacent to the intersection of Route 28.From Providence/West: Follow Route 495 or Route 195 to Route 25. Route 25 crosses over the Bourne Bridge and becomes Route 28. Follow Route 28 South to Route 151. Follow Route 151 to the Mashpee rotary. Halfway around the rotary take Route 28 North. Take a left on a small road immediately after Edwards Boat Yard (4 miles from the Mashpee Rotary). Parking is only available in a large town administered parking area adjacent to the intersection of Route 28.

thank you for the information. The Boy Scouts have camped there a few years back and i get the task of transporting over all their supplies, ie water, tents, packs, food etc. So the information you provided is very helpful. Seems like its pretty straight forward in terms of the directions etc. take care, mike
