I had one on me last Spring, freaked me out. Got up to go the bathroom before work, looked down, and there it was. Without going into too much detail, because nobody wants that, if you've ever seen the movie Stand By Me, my ordeal was very similar to the leeches scene.

My husband and I often do our "are there any ticks up my a$$ routine". Half joking half seriously.....
(he would kill me if he knew I was telling this so keep it between us, there is an important lesson here ok?)
One day last year I am doing the "tick check" on him and inspecting the nooks and crannies and joke about how there is one in his butt crack! "oh yeah REAL funny he's says" (hey I thought it was histerical) But anyway I dont see any and I am checking thoroughly. So off to the bathroom he heads....pulls down the skivvies and starts screaming like a little girl and ripping the undies completely off. Yup....a deer tick in the undies......
So the lesson here is check yourself....have a trusted family member check you twice....then check yourself again!
