Im wetsuiting 50% of the time, that why Im thinking the ziplocks might be a good change.

It sounds like a lot of work,to put an eel in a zipp-lock bag over several minutes it will die,also to take the time to put one eel at a time and then put another half dozen eels in each zipp-locks bag will take alot of bags and time.
I think there are a bunch of effective ways to carry/use eels,most wet suit Guys put them in a sack bag and carry them on there waist and others put them in a small soft sided cooler with ice packs or crushed Ice,I use the soft sideded cooler method by the time I goto use them there pretty much chilled down and handleing them with a rag works pretty good,but this works for me.
