There are quite a few pro-war rallies scheduled for this weekend.

Here's my two cents. Most principled people, whether liberal, conservative, libertarian or whatever, line up in support of the country when the gun goes off, whatever their position was before the war. These people have jobs, and too much dignity to stand in the streets banging on tin pails like a bunch of aboriginies. What you see out there is the radical left. Egged on by the radical left. "Professional" students for the most part, or professors, or orher folks who can take an afternoon off from work and make pains in the asses of themselves to hard-working folks, many of whom shared their opposition to this war before it started, who are just trying to get home from work.

If these folks had the courage of their convictions, and hate the US and what it stands for so much, the students among them would renounce any Federal educational assistance, and the professors would turn down any Federally-funded research grants. But we all know that ain't happenin'
