Just as the sky starts to clear...It looks to be getting worse.

QUICK!!! CUT YOUR LAWN NOW!!!!

Sun
NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Gusts up to 30 kt... increasing to 40 kt in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Rain likely.
Sun Night
NE winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 35 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. A chance of showers.
Mon
N winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 40 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Showers likely...mainly in the afternoon.
Mon Night
N winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Showers likely.
Tue
NE winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt...diminishing to 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 to 4 ft. Showers likely...then a chance of showers in the late afternoon and overnight.

The other day MV set the state record for coldest day...35 deg. Where is your global warming? A buddy said.."global warming is melting the ice cap and bring colder temps to us"...Huh? Let me get this straight. If it is too cold, its global warming, it if is too hot it is global warming, it if is a draught it is global warming and it there are floods and storms it is global warming. Remember a year or two ago in GA thru NC...all the lakes drying up...no drinking water...national crisis? Well you don't hear much about that anymore. He they said, it is not PC to call it global warming anymore, it is "climate change". To that I said, of course the climate is changing...when did go static? We had ice ages, heat waves, floods all before mankind starting putting CO2 into the air...IMO the planet is still evolving, one day we could all die from some planetary event not caused by mankind...but the dems will blame George Bush anyway.

No break in sight!

Synopsis For Massachusetts And Rhode Island Coastal Waters
Low pres in Pennsylvania will slowly intensify as it moves south of Long Island tonight to a position 200 miles south of Nantucket Sunday and then meanders as a large gale center southeast of Nantucket Monday... slowly weakening Tuesday into Wednesday...and then finally departing for the Maritimes Thu. This unusual Spring like gale center will also be accompanied by dangerous seas approaching 15 ft in the open waters east of Massachusetts. Mariners should monitor later forecasts on this potential strong ocean storm.

So much for my fishing plans on Monday!!

Made a few casts after work, just as the tide bottomed and turned. Wouldn't advise going, at least up here on the east facing spots.

Tonight's high tide is gonna be a doozy...11.2ft here, then add the surge from the NE. Could be worse...Think of the poor guys and gals on vacation this week at Block Island Race Week... If they are actually racing, they're getting pounded.

By the time the SW arrives Thursday, I'll be trying to fit a week's worth of outdoor work into two days...

Yup pretty much stunk last 2 mornings. Small fish if you were lucky to catch one and not many guys out there. What a nice week for a vacation, not.

Looks like more of the same stuff(NE Wind) on the way. Seems to be a lot of real small fish in many locales too. Gonna give it a go tonight, but confidence is pretty low.

I've been hitting my good NE wind spots when conditions permit, but its been either real slow or real small fish.
One night about a week ago the wind came around SSW for a night and I did pretty well in one of my RI spots. Guys that are getting them from shore are working extra hard or utilizing boats to get into remote spots...either way its been a bit of a grind. I've seen it slow before, just never seen this much onshore wind ever in my fishing life, though.

10-15 NE, 55 degrees last night, WTF? if its going to feel like october, it could at least fish like it. Looks like some favorable weather coming up next week. I'll be on vaca in ME - at least i should get a tan. hopefully things will settle into a summer pattern by the time i get home.

it sure has.. the river is a ribbon of mud, there are fish, but mostly teens and low twenties... fishing the beach front ( by boat) is hazzardous at best ( if your in close enough for it to be worth it) Monday night, the light easterly kept pushing me into the sand.. if the fish wern't there I'd have gone home.. I'm praying for a sou'wester...

A good run is better than a bad stand!
