Hey Guys

I'm new around this site

Ive been fishing since i was a little kid but i never really took it serious till this year. Even though i haven't caught much of anything this year i am still taking it more serious for here on out.

I went to the Merrimack River here in Haverhill, Massachusetts this morning and snapped my line atleast 15 times on the rocks. Pretty bad in some spots. So tomorrow i am gonna head out to a different spot and see how it goes. I been using clams & sea worms sometimes herring. Here is a picture of the river i was at this morning.

Just wanted to say hi, Any tips would be great

First tip is to let you know that the use of river herring is illegal.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

2nd tip is to ditch the user name as it puts you at an automatic disadvantage and no one will want to fish with or near you.

Also, what Raven said. Throw plugs, swimming lures like redfins and swim shads are as close to a "sure thing" if there are fish present.

Save the clams and worms for the beach and the herring (sea) for the rocks.

Good luck (Golf is frustrating and tennis is boring)
