I've had enough of being blinded by science for one lifetime.

We keep seeing these outlandish theories proven true. Some are crazy as all hell, but are later proven true. That leads me to think that whatever humans can dream can come to be. Flying, space travel, talking to people no matter where they are in the world, it's all come true. It's time to start thinking of things worthy of us, I think...
Are we the dreamer or the dream?

Science has done great things for us and I'm very appreciative. I've had very little contact scientists outside of the science classes I took as an adult student and a couple of doctors I know well.
I don't know if this is widespread or not, but I noticed they don't really respect the humanities very much - yet they expect to be respected by all.
I find this very interesting.
If you think about it, despite all our scientific advancement we're still struggling with the same basic issues and divisions. For all we've learned, science has made little headway toward the answers to life's greatest questions.

Joe, I think that's because of the present scientific discipline of studying the mechanics of life rather than the art of life. Once we master the art without relying on under-classes to do our suffering for us, meaning the heavy lifting, then we'll approach our potential. We're no where close at present and sometimes I feel that we are sliding backward.
