Toughest Part?

So which of these options do you think are the toughest about building?

1-Turning
2-Drilling
3-Painting
4-Finishing
5-Wiring

When I got into this addiction, I thought turning would be the toughest, but I think I would have to pick Drilling.

I don't find any step difficult. I do find the epoxy stage pretty aggravating sometimes though. The more you do it the better you get but I don't make them all year long so every winter it is the learning curve all over again and by the time I am ready to quit for the year I am getting good at it.

6: Design
This part starts before the building, basket full of doodles, firing up the favorite software to fine tune the templates, the anticipation of if it will work with the fishes, oh it looks like someone else did it b4 , fine tuning the weighting, getting the right lip, need to solve some construction issues, making sure all part are strong enough for the brutes........ But these are the fun part LOL. Building is just going thru the motions once you have a winner

Finding the time to do any of it.

Waiting for the epoxy to dry so I can fish them

Agree with LaPala, the design/testing part is the toughest, though it can be the most rewarding once you get things worked out.

Especially when the design transfers from paper to fish catching machine with just minimum tuning. Makes you feel gooooooooddddddd

drilling, but once you ruin a few, you will figure it out, if you dont figure it out, you may have to find a new hobby. just kidding, but stay with it.

I don't find any of the steps difficult. Sure they take some concentration and attention to detail but once you have been doing it awhile it's easier!
