So let me get this straight, the people who would need medical marijauna (which I support btw for those in medical need, not for psudeo medical need) and should be the one usergroup not paying tax, now PAY a tax and this is a good thing?

Its just a getting the camel's nose under the tent for legalization, doing no real favors to those that need it for medical reasons.

the tax is being paid by the vendor not the recipient of the medication
at a rate of 18 dollars per 1000 dollars of medicine sold.

Increased taxes are never truly paid by the vendor.
