Frasier: Niles, I’ve just had the most marvelous idea for a website! People will post their opinions, cheeky bon mots, and insights, and others will reply in kind!

Niles: You have met “people”, haven’t you?

I like Val Oil cut 60/40 with thinner. In a gallon jug about 1/2 to 3/4 full. I dunk the plugs (usually 12 at a time depending on the plug size) and fish them out with a wire using the thru hole. Immediately wipe off the excess and hang them to dry. I have a warm area for drying and I have finish painted the plugs in a day. If you are going to rush to the finish step, run a pipe cleaner through the thru hole to minimize dripping during drying.

Finish paint coat using Createx - followed by a blast from a heatgun or hair dryer to set the paint and then put them on my spinner and E-tex the finish. E-tex will dry hard in about a day.

I have gained allot of respect for the plug builders out there with this project. now I see why plugs are selling north of twenty bucks everywhere!

They are certainly not perfect, but hopefully they will catch.

Just gotta put on the hardware, seal with etex & DONE!

I will post some more pics (but only if they come out good!)

Thanks for all of the helpful replies!
