i've seen guys clip a small buoy on boca grips on a boat. that would work but seams cumbersome. i'd wear nice pliers on you belt with a lanyard and buy a cheaper pair to have loose on the boat for others. dr. slick are pretty nice and not too expensive.

I use mine on shore, swimming to rocks, on boats and now in my kayak.......don't you have a sheath that the lanyard connects to?? Shame.....go swimmin' fer em'.......I would!
