Must have been the weekend for it.
Took a cruise out to the Isles of Shoals with the wife, daughter and
4 year old grandson for a seal watch and some trolling. On the way back in I was avoiding lobster bouys and another boat was doing the same comeing toward me. We were passing each other port to port slowly and some yahoo in a 25 footer barreled right between us only about 20 feet from my port side.
All the other opperater and I could do was hang on and wonder what the hell that numbskull was thinking when he did that. No reason for it other than pure ignorance. Sometimes you wish you had a torpedo tube loaded and primed out there.

Couldn't have been a gillnetter from Gloucester, they are such a pleasant bunch

Always call the coast guard or enviromentals, a camera is a plus too.

Another tip, always look for a gillnetter, most look like lobsta boats. You see him a couple hundred yards away get off of your spot, make it look like you are trolling or just going along, once gone, go back to that spot where you were catching. Sometimes they will sit off a ways and glass you and if they see you catching they will be over.
