Question Another How-To Q: Beach Clambake?

It's been a while since I've enjoyed a bona fide beach clambake.

Was thinking of giving it a shot this season.

How kewl would it be to have one before you start a night of fishing?

Any tips on digging the hole, setting up the fire, food selection, etc?

Thanks...

-WW

Chicken lobstahs, Cherrystones, Mussels, Linguica, Corn on the cob,'taters, and chickens...maybe steamahs instead of mussels, or both..
If I remember, you get some good coals, and heat some rocks, dig the pit line it with rock weed, some coals, not a lot, them hot rocks more weed, but the food in cheesecloth bags, cover with weed, put a chicken on top cover with burlap bags.. when the chicken up top is done, so ain't everything else.
Somebody please correct me, this is an old memory!

Sounds good, makin me hungry.

Or, hire Ken Joseph in Orleans, he will do the whole thing, tell him where, when, how many. Get a group to spit the cost.
Cast a few plugs, eat, then go fishin, while he cleans up!

Hey, I lost my shorts, and I'm now saltie? Some people think I already am a little salty

Clamdiggah,

I suppose if we dig a big enough hole in the sand we could roast a beast.

Milo - you making me hungry again.
