OK cool well I bought a 4.5 ounce needle and a 2.5 looked on his website says the 4.5 should get down... mine seems to come across surface on a reel speed so slow that i am almost asleep... why I was wondering... The 2.5 seems to drop alot quicker so...

Gotta let the 4.5 sink first and keep your red tip down a bit.

Well ok that would make sence thanks Luds and Eben... I am used to Gibbs / Boone stuff and super strike that sink quick so was kinda lost on the AH big boy... lmao

just got in...white toyota 4runner here. yes you have to let that needle sink a bit- countdown till you reach the depth you want and i also hold the rod tip a bit lower than usual. which other plugs do you have?

a 2.5 oz needle... those were the only two I was not familiar with.. I was used to gibs/ ss style sink fast needles...
