Couple months ago I was throwing plugs at big bluefish. I went through the rotation and caught them on everything. The last plug in my bag was a white needle of your Dad's. I said to myself "I'm sure John would want me to throw this one too." First and only cast that day of that needle culled the only bass I caught that day.
