Good for you. That must have been fun and good to hear. I guess I will stop by on my way home from work next week and do some skin plugging in the middle of the nite. Thanks I needed the motivation.

No giants but better fish than I have been seeing and, yes, it was the middle of the night. Look at the tides for last night and you will get a good idea of the time the fish started showing.

Try this for motivation. Nice fish (32.5), even nicer guy. You MSBA guys ought to recognize this fella. I've learned a lot from him.

Good move. I fished all of my go to eel spots between 1am and 5am. Not even a touch. You might find this disturbing, but at the end of the night I said to myself "%$%$%$%$ these things" and dumped 2 dozen live eels back into the canal, tied on a shad, and hooked up one my first cast. There's hope for me yet. Probably stayed too loyal too long with the eels as I knew there were plenty of fish to be had by other means.
I hope Numbskull reads this post and gives me heaping accolades

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind
