what he also did that the article left out........
was rather funny

he was told Hey Soupy? we have a minute of tv left over what do ya wanna do?

so he leans into the tv camera and just for laughs says

hey KIDS ! be real quiet while your mom and dad is sleeping
and go get some of those green papers with the men with beards on them
from your mothers purse or daddies wallet and send them to me...be real quiet

I used to watch him religiously. Always a pie in the face. He was a wacky son of a gun, what PeeWee Herman aspired to be. Wicked nice guy as well. Keep 'em laughing upstairs, Soupy..
