Spring fishing in the tin boat is always a highlight and this spring did not disappoint. My comm. season went decent, not stellar as I refused to go all the way across the Bay to bumper car fish with the masses, but stayed closer to my home port and found some decent amounts of fish and much more relaxed conditions. Did bass fish with BigJay on his boat over there, Race P., one morning and we did real good. Only got out twice for Fluke which was a bummer but did have a real nice day with my 9 year old daughter with lots of hook ups. Oh and the canal treated me ok too this year. Saw some beauties landed by friends but I did not get anything to write home about. Been finding myself fishing the canal more and more the last several years, as I gave it a good break for while there. But without a doubt it was the 3 consecutive days of the best Albie fishing I have ever seen. Thanks to Jim and Ernie for the clue in. I will also add the last 2 days plug fishing along the Elizabeth islands with George and Art. Not the biggest fish I have ever caught but truly some of the nicest fishing areas I have ever fished. Rocks, rocks, and more rocks. IMO the most enjoyable fishing one could ever partake in, throwing plugs along the shore. Plus being shown the ins and outs by two extremely knowledgeable and fun guys was a learning experience in itself. A good year in my book. Man I am one lucky fisherman for the amount of time I can get out. Thanks to my family for allowing me to fish so much. I appreciate it. Come on spring.

Good for you. I have to get your wife to talk to my wife about expanding my fishing hours.

There really was a fall run this year---at least for some of us
