Still at BW since Tuesday. Just wanted to thank everyone for your thoughts, prayers and advice. Dennis Patrick is here in the NICU still and will be here for a little while. I am hoping for a week or two, until he gets his lungs up to standard. Meds, machines, beepers and all this stuff they got him hooked up to scares the hell out of both me and my wife. The NICU staff here is incredible. I cannot say enough good things about these people. 5 minutes in a NICU is enough to make me shut up and stop feeling sorry for myself and relize how bad some other people have it. Any way, thanks everyone.

You are a parent, you no longer have the luxury of feeling sorry for yourself, you further need to look over your shoulder before doing an Al Bundy scratch, and you will have a new affinity for the night shift. But you will be amazed, astounded, and humbled as you watch your offspring grow . You will cherish the father son fart jokes. You will play good cop and bad cop. There will be good and there will be bad. May you enjoy much more of the good.
