I just spoke with my wife and told her of Flap...I was trying to tell her which guy it was, and said remember the guy who told me...you're leaving too early--- she said "oh that one"...well Steve you are leaving too early...
hell of a guy, that shared info. with me(most of the time), and took joy with the process, the friends, and EACH fish...
RIP
Thoughts and prayers for you and your family

I too send my deepest condolences to the family and freinds. Although I've only met and spoke with Steve a couple of times, I know how wonderful of a person he was. Nothing but great things were ever said about him. My prayers to all that are close to him.

Just saw this this morning, truly terrible, shocking news -I'm stunned
I didn't know Steve well but had the opportunity to hear him speak at an MSBA meeting - the depth of his knowledge and personal experience was impressive as was his generosity in sharing it during his speaking engagements, his OTW articles and here at S-B
A real loss to the fishing community - my deepest condolences to his family and friends
Rest easy, Steve

This has been a year of terrible loss - I am just back from attending a memorial service for a friend in D.C. and just read about Steve. A great guy and true sportsman. Rest in peace - Every time I am poking around the south side of the cape I will think of you. and thoughts and prayers to the family.
