You guys are hilarious. I take my share of crappy photos. Problem with point and shoot digital is just that. You point and shoot. Very hard to get the correct settings. I take a lot of photos and I may get a few per hundred that are worth shooting. Light is another issue. On the bright days the camera takes awesome pictures. In low light and cloudy days it gets worse. Don't be afraid to shoot a lot. So if you getting a camera to take fish shots make sure you read the reviews on the flash since most will be at night. If you want underwater shots I am more impressed with the Pentax than with the Olympus. T Orlando has an older Pentax and it takes way better pics underwater than mine. My stylus however is great in cold weather too. It is submersible to 35 ft and shockproof. So having a camera that is able to stay on you at all times is better than a camera that will be onshore in a bag.
