Oh BTW , I like round head better than bullet head at the canal. I think they get stuck on the bottom less. Just my perception. I make them with the long shank Mustad Hooks (34184) 8/0. That's a nice big Hook!

Are the barbs on that mold decent? That's the only issue I have had with the 4's and 5's I seem to find. The barbs are not well molded and either tear the crap out of the soft plastics or don't hold them for more than a couple of casts. I know glue works but when I use gulp jerk shads they are only good for a few fish at the most making it worthless to glue them. Thanks guy's for the feedback.

I use the ones from Charlie's and cut the barb. I have been thinking about looking for a mold thats 4oz and has a ball head and no barb. I mostly jig sluggos and I feel the barb just tears them more.

Nope , the barbs suck on all of them. Super glue is the best way. The soft rubber will tear after a few fish no matter how they are secured. the ones Got Stripers used to make (rubber) were a little harder rubber and lasted longer but even they go after a while.
