Good call. If he opens Firefox strictly manually, it may not be the default browser. The malware is probably opening the ads in the default web browser which would explain why they open in IE.

the right response when you operate either Browser when they ask you : do you want this to be the default browser?
is to always say yes.

i typically have both Internet explorer and fire-fox open sometimes
so i can revert to one or the other for different duties

but i know what you mean Paul ...on the living room PC there's this NASTY pop up add where a girl is saying some congratulations crap.... and last night it was running two at once! P.I.A.

make sure you have POP up blocker running in fire fox and there's some new and improved add ons for a super duper version

but anyways ya want the one where a little window pops up where you can click BLOCK the "F" out of this
