Took a few trips around the Island by boat last summer, couldn't believe some of the new 'summer bungalows' that have sprouted up......I think the last time I was on the Island was '99 with DZ and the gang

I started to get concerned when Lew closed the Monday Night Club......then I saw an ad for Martha Stewart's Block Island Collection of patio furniture and knew it was gonna change in a big way...

Rocket's probably wearing a suit and selling real estate now...or maybe not...

Damn, speaking of cows, I've got an old photo of my great-grandfather standing with a couple in front of the Breakers - early 1900's - with his arm around the neck of a big heffer - if I can unearth it, I'll post it

The Breakers was on Corn Neck Road, if memory serves

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
