Second Annual Bomba Bros Ice Tourney (SABBIT)

So 5 miles away from the SABBIT location there were people skating on my lake. It was in a cove and the two skaters were of questionable sobriety but they did not go thru the ice. This is by no means an endorsement of safe ice. The snow is not going to be helping the ice at all. But we are getting there.

the wind chill here is enormous ....it blows my mind that any creature can survive this ARTIC onslaught .... with a raging fire in the wood stove and electric heater going it's still way to cold
for me.... that 30 degrees and sunshine yesterday felt like summer ........

3 to -5 inches ice on Quabog pond... it freezes first !
then south....it had none thus far .........as of yesterday

Just reserved my room at the S-8. I'll be there Friday night. I'm starting to get all revved up for this. It's been over 15 years since I've ice fished!
