Weak game & a weak season! Brady is soft now, I'm not saying he can't be great but I think he's gt that been there done that kinda attitude. This team needs a shake up. I don't know what exactly but something or someone major needs to go or come in.

A lot of things just don't seem to click with this team. Time for some new blood. New names, better skills, and last but not least more passion. Better not screw up those draft picks.
I'd have to say I really don't get the "fire Belichick" mentality that's out there though. Seems more then a little early for that.

Too be fair to Belichick he was spread out way too thin this season. That clown they had calling plays obviously needed help. It's funny that these "fans" who are calling for BBs head, forget the 70's, 80's and 90's.
This team forgot how to win the close games. What was very telling for me was the fact that the player who played IN A PLAYOFF GAME with the most fire, guts, heart, balls, emotion was a 40year old backup linebacker.

thanks vb, had some fun, it was cold , the offense sucked, lost my voice, got windburned face, frozen feet, beer spilled on me. all in all a sucky game to be at in Jan.
can't win them all I guess
I had some fun even through the dejection of all the sloppy play.
trade Matt light for a right tackle next year, get some good draft picks, improve the D, get some more receivers. better luck next year and hope we don't get Gisseled again

That said it all to me too. Him and Kevin Faulk. Very few other players on the team seem to have that passion. Looked like a lot of guys didn't have their head in the game in this game and others this year. I wouldn't dare claim to know who or why there seems to be that ethic in the Pats, but it seems to be there.

one of the reasons for the poor play is this team lost it's 'tude.....gone the way of the finesse soft teams. a couple of seasons ago they could tough it out with anydody. time for a rebuild- could be a tall task considering the draft track record.

Yup. They seem to have the "We are the Patriots, we won 3 Super Bowls" attitude and it doesn't work anymore.
Your point about the drafts is spot on. And the part that really upsets me is the fact that it seems like any fan can see we need LBs in the worst way. And the people in charge of picking can't. We passed on Matthews, Laurinaitis, and Maualuga in last year's draft. Every damn Packer game, I see Matthews flying all around the QB. Lil' Animal or Maualuga would have solidified our ILB core for years and years.
Although I do think last season's draft will turn out better than it appears, I would gladly trade Chung for one of those LBs.

The best d-lineman in the draft is Suh out of Nebraska, and he'll be long gone. He may even go as the top pick overall.
All those years of trading down to avoid top draft position signing bonuses, of letting veterans walk rather than paying them, throwing guys like Vrabel into a trade when there was no need to--how long can you sustain a defense? Especially when your 3 biggest defensive F/A signings, Colvin, Thomas and Burgess, turned out to be busts and/or locker room cancers.

come on guys you can't win all the time. Were spoiled. I guess you forget the old patriots and how much they sucked every year. That is what drove me to be a cowboys fan, that and relatives in Texas. The better team won. i never thought they would go very far this playoffs. Didn't think they would look that bad though. No consistency. At least we don't have to root for the jets to beat indy. They took some chances and it didn't work out draft wise and contract wise. , like that doesn't happen to other teams? ask Ron about that. Everything is a gamble. They let plenty of veterans play and not walk, no? Colvin was very good until he hurt his hip. I don't know. I thought he had plan and this year it didn't work out like he hoped. Losing all those coaches year after year didn't help either. Show me another team that lost that much coaching talent over a period of time and still remained very competitive. Be hard to do. Always next year. I think they got as far as they were going to IMO. Just stinks they didn't even make a game of it.

I'm glad there's more than one pass rusher in the draft. Obviously we have no shot at Suh (but what a player)
Just a couple off the top of my head.
Carlos Dunlap-Florida: Has had a couple off field issues.
Jerry Hughes-TCU: Could move to OLB. Maybe bigger stats due to competition.
Sergio Kindle-Texas: Another guy who could shift to OLB.
Jason Pierre-Paul-South Florida: Stepped up this year with teammate George Selvie having a down year.

Need to trade up in draft for pass rusher
need to sign Julius Peppers
Need to give Vince what he wants or damn close to it, not franchise
need to solidify coaching and coordinators.
would like another bigtime receiver like a Brandon Marshall
get a tight end
most of all TRADE MATT LIGHT for a right tackle and put Vollmer left.
Then kick Koppen in the arse and tell him to get the hell with it.
time is running short Paul, Tom is not getting any younger, Welker will most likely be gone all next year, time to focus
oh ya, I gave them a 50/50 shot Sunday so I was prepared but hopeful, it still hurts

I agree with the Professor. I did'nt expect them to make past the first game. Baltimore is not the team to fall behind on with a weak offensive line.
Ray Lewis looked good. They really touched Brady, it put him on edge.
