A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED!

I want to thank everyone who attended the EBA show and I'm glad to hear I got a little blood pumping with some of the underwater footage.

I was a little under the weather myself, especially after a marathon three days of editing with practically no sleep...I hope I sounded enthusiastic about the material I was sharing.

I know I was a little heavy handed on the underwater footage of stripers and tog, but more times than not this season I was underwater chasing fish or trying to record what the bottom structure looked like. I figured you could always see rods bent over any Sunday morning on ESPN, but getting to see the fish we care about swimming around the spots we fish is a tad more interesting....at least that's my take on it. I know someone I can spend a day with and show you what it looks like to land 800 pounds of bass...but I think that after four or five fish that gets a little old. I'm still working on getting a fish to eat in front of the camera -- I'll take footage of a lure, chunk, eel, whatever -- and next year is the year for that. My goal is also to film the largest bass ever recorded and I'm pretty confident I'll be able to make that happen. I'll also be on the hunt for tuna underwater.

I'm making a major investment in new technology and my new camera will be able to record high definition images in moonlight. I promise you topside and underwater images the likes of which have never been recorded. You have to keep raising the bar each year.

Who knows, 2012 might be 3-D for a real immersive experience.

Thanks again for coming and sorry if I didn't get a chance to say hello, or you found me in a corner with that far away look in my eyes -- I could have been sleeping.

Those of you who missed the show can catch me and Crazy Al at the Worcester Show in February for a totally different Advanced Saltwater Seminar series with Capt. Blain Anderson, Capt. Jim White, Capt. Dave Chieffo with a serious agenda of hard core tips and techniques...I'll keep you posted.

Mike
