No, I would set up in Document form that people could download off of the site. That way anyone entering could fill it out before hand and hand it in when they submit their plugs.

OK, that looks good for the classic plug, thanks
we also need one for other categories that can be downloaded and printed.
I hope that makes sense to people.
We don't have room for multiple tables just for this contest, we'll set aside tables for
1 contest
2 a few tables for guys like Joe,bigfish,VB,2na and Eric for their displays of plugs or jigs.
3 raffle plugs and items
4 a couple near the kitchen for food
5 all the rest I guess will be a free for all every man for himself to share to put your stuff.
Door opens at 9:00
I will get there early to set up and will post a list of those who will be allowed to come early to set up.

Can you tell me what info you want on an entry form for other plug categories? I'll set up a document entry form people can download later today for the classic category, and post it with an example.

OK
first the contestants name should be in the bag with the plug on a separate piece of paper.
the form should have a place for the category the plug goes into multiple choice to keep it simple
1. general
2. Flaptail plug
3. novelty plug
4. rookie
list those and then the contestant may choose one
also there should be an area for a short description of the plug = color, type of plug etc. so the form can stay on the table next to the plug.
finally a large box for us to assign a number to the plug. John usually keeps a master list so ballot counting goes faster and we know who wins what.
is that understandable?
I'll work on the ballots

I wasn't going to do a Flaptail plug for the contest because A. I did not have alot of time and B. I had nothing to use as reference....however this morning I woke up and carved out a couple hours to get one done! I used a Flaptail ProfM had given me as a size reference and I used the pictures from Steve's "Some Plugs" thread that he had taken of his own Flaptails!! So I got one in the works I am happy to say!

I would have to say yes they are necessary as it goes towards design and craftsmanship and shows how well the hooks are placed and how they hang...its part of the plug. Is there a reason you don't want hooks on it?

The contest plugs are not to be touched, picked up or fondled at all. Drooling on yourself is recommended but we do try to keep paws off not only because we do not want to damage someones work but trying to avoid five finger folks from helping them selves.....hey it happens!
SO NO TOUCHING!

I'm pretty sure the judges can handle the classic plugs.

If he'd like..he's welcome to, 5 wood b better then 4 .
best repro classic plugs will be handled "only" by the judges.
entering more then one classic won't be no-no..go for more if it pleases you.In the end they'll b only one plug that will b the winner.
