This is the typical misinformation about Rush that those who don't listen to him are prone to. He didn't say that he would move to Costa Rica, but that he would go there for medical treatment if a "health care" bill passes that would not allow a Cadillac plan or over tax a Cadillac plan. And for those that point out that Costa Rica has Universal health care, which he opposes, it also has 3 private hospitals including CIMA which is purported to be the best in the country and is tailored to Americans. So he would pay out of pocket for some of the best health care and not be restricted to a lesser, mandatory plan here. And it was somewhat tongue in cheek, anyway.

I'll stick with my American doctors any day. There's a reason why some people come here from other countries for advanced or complex procedures.

CIMA hospital in Costa Rica is a private hospital, not a government hospital. It was designed and organized by Americans. It is mostly used by Americans, either tourists or Americans who choose to live in Costa Rica. Costa Ricans have a higher life expetancy than citizens of the U.S.A. It has an excellent staff of doctors and specialists many of whom were trained in the U.S. and Britain. The hospital is fully compatible with North American standards, having state of the art equipment including MRI, CT, Xray, ultrasound, endescopy, full service lab, 24 hour pharmacy. It provides world class care in specialties such as orthopedic, cardiac, spinal, neuro, bariatric, plastic surgery, gynecology, pediatric, ent, dermatology, gastroentology, oncology, urology, as well as six specialized clinics. It was originally affiliated with the Baylor Univ. Medical Center, and is now operated by the International Hospital Corporation headquartered in Dallas. It is accredited by our Dept. of Veterans Affairs. Medi-travels, based in the U.S. ranks it as world class.
