I guided for 5 years in the Blue MT forest (Corbin PK) Croydon, N.H.
I used 30-06/ 180GR always had a SW357 as back up. I have taken 20+ of them mostly 200 lbs +- but up to 350 lbs.
I saw guys shoot them with a RUGER45 with no problem.

There is a wild herd outside the PK that got out when the fences fell a few years back. No Lic required to hunt them in NH

This place is bigger than PLymouth MA fenced in & easy to get lost and mostly untouched sence 1900
