Hopefully with the construction, most people will launch elsewhere and reduce the traffic at that ramp. Unfortunately, I doubt that will be the case. When it's not busy it's a nice place to put in. My dad's office overlooks the ramp and docks there. That noise is gonna drive him nuts this summer.

that ramp is a joke. last year i paid the money to launch, waited 30 minutes to put the boat in because the yahoos don't know how to, then found there were no spots to park! so im driving around the lot looking and looking, then i spot one of the workers. i stop and ask the guy for my $$$ back and he laughs. i say what am i paying for if i can't park. he says it's a launch fee not a parking fee. friggin joke...

I've never paid a fee to launch there. They usually have the pay booth closed in October when the tourists are gone. It's also real easy to drop in and take out without the crowds. During the summer it can get pretty hairy, though.

This ramp is State owned and Town Run. It makes for a mess and I live about 10 minutes from the ramp.

Bottom line is a five monute look at the Bulkhead and it becomes obvious that harbor is in big trouble. The work is going to suck but it is truely needed. At least it is stimulus money going to something that matters.

I think it is going to be a nightmare. Thank God I live here in town and have options. IF you are from outside Barnstable my insiders tip is.....Yarmouth raps are State subsodized and you do not need a sticker...fine the right one and get there early for parking and you are sweeeeet!!!!!
