With that much available floor space you can set up a factory.

5 miles from you or so.......now
as the Raven flies
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Quite Right Larry -> none yet.... i hope
easier (better) to buy yours tho.... as you well know )
I had to flip the delta lathe upside down
[too top heavy]
yesterday and slide it down a long plank
by myself into the huge basement
my lathe tools were found! WTF?
but they now need
some major restoration
as they got buried
in a bad (leaky roof)spot
in the old decrepid BARN...
Kevin your on the short list )
just 12 miles for the wife to commute now
instead of 42 miles...ya- hoo
no more 8:00 pm dinners
i am expecting gas prices to double
to 6 bucks per gallon when
Israel confronts Iran
so...... this is all according to the master plan
i can just walk (limp) to my fishin hole
no car needed (big f-in grin)
yuk yuk yuk..........lol
buildin the ole hoop house is the big project
I'm back in the veggie business again

If the basement is that big, how big is the house? If I put my lathe is the middle of my front lawn we might be about even.

Breaking "new ground" is always a [[[ huge task]]]
But i have farmer neighbors that will disk harrow it for me
then i just have to rebuild the troy built carbuerator
and then i'll be kickin some ass.
i have so much un- packing and organization to do
its incredible...Mind boggling in fact
lots of site work and some clearing to do (downed tree)
But >>>>right now<<<< i am totally wrecked
Black and blue...even broke a finger
i have accumulated so much STUFF over the years.
that the cellar now looks like a ware house LOL
spent the day disassembling a Glass green house
( i am getting a tan already too....like a friggan red neck lol )
that i will re-assemble here to use as the starter (flats) house
and then add to that as needed....in two directions
i have one real nice BLUEberry bush "Paul " that i will dig up
tomorrow and transplant into a big pot for transporting it.
and thanks to you...Professor i am branching into flowers also.
PICTURES .... soon ok.... but SINCE i have many deer tracks near the creek that Fencing and moving them HERE are the top priority.
~
on the plug building side of things i have some SHORT SECTIONS OF un used cedar wooden gutters TREASURE
(think its cedar? )
anyone KNOW? Capesams?

I had a crane move mine in, used NE Spas who subcontract out the job. Maybe give them a call and see who they use?

problem is
the stairway off the Deck leads to a slope
instead of the flat ground unfortunately
hence the need for the crane method...
but
i priced materials tonight...
and for 160 clams i can buy enough 3/4 inch plywood
and ten foot 4x4's to build a bridge and make the
transition happen
along with some other timbers i have.
next i'll be pricing a flatbed from Penski that has the
forklift package.... and a 2500 lb lift gate

MISSION ACOMPLISHED
Raven to mission Control:
Standby - Huston ...... Jaccuzi 1..... HAS landed -Over
That's one Splash for The Raven Man, a giant leap for mankind-LOL
what a friggan Bear of a JOB: took four guys and a huge diesel pickup,
300 dollars of lumber and materials ,(which i'll re-use elsewhere)
2 1/2 days labor so far with another day or so still
to dissasemble the 16 foot mega ramp i built
and WE saved almost 8 hundred dollars.
PHEW glad thats DONE ...

Well just think of all the plugs you can make out of those timbers. With the hot tub you also have a place to hydro test them too. Might even double as a bait well,

re: No PICS
i had planned to go back on Sunday after the unit got moved
to take it all apart ..the Ramp i built..... that is...
But the Ole Raven Van went down on Saturday and i'm not
sure when i'll be getting it back now... i have go back and take some more pics.
oh well........
there's more than plenty to do here...that's for sure!
chainsaw work tomorrow to clear a spot to move
a downed tree so i can place my building materials
there and then i am starting a very large container
garden and ordering a truck-load of loam in the mornin
i 'll work the back forty which was a garden
years ago and the loam is 12 inches deep
where i dug a test hole
so i just can't wait until i'm rototilling.
