I was really hoping that this kind of event would spark some greater interest here and we'd see a good amount of participation from the NE S-B crowd. Seems to me this would be the kind of event that we could all get behind together.
It looks like we'll have perfect weather for the event this Saturday, and there's still time to get in on this if you're so inclined. Please just reply to this thread or shoot me PM if you're planning to come.
There will be a sign-in/sign-out table set up at the back side of the parking lot near the head of the walking trail. Be sure to stop there when you arrive, sign in, and grab some bags before you head out.
Even if you can't come for the whole day, any help would be very appreciated. We'll be there from 8:00am - 4:00 pm and serving lunch around noon.
Hope to see some of you there!

Thanks so much to all who came out and helped! The DCR staff also asked me to pass on their thanks, and said they'd be very greatful if we could come back in the fall. We had about 25 volunteers throughout the day, and picked up 5 or 6 large truck loads of trash.
Here are a few of the pics I took...
