Didn't realize that I was surrounded by sooooo many criminals.

No doubt. One's propensity to take a risk hopefully lessens when there is much to be lost.

Nowadays, I wouldn't think of doing half the stuff I did in my teens and twenties.

However, I thought doing whatever/whenever in the name of catching more striped bass was a noble endeavor at the time. I'm lucky to have lived through some of my boating mishaps...
