Have you ever been busted

Digging seaworms on the southside of Moon I. in Quincy [1980].I had a city permit but not a state permit.Came in by boat with a buddy.We were digging about an hour and getting some monster worms.I look up and this guy in green is zig-zaging accross the flat towards us.Then I notice the flash of a badge on his chest.I tell my friend it's ok I've got a permit.We continue digging as he gets closer.He's screaming like a madman at us so we stop and wait for him.We go round and round and he's fuming.I'm supposd to have a state contaminated digging permit."The city didn't tell me" when I got the permit.Anyway we have to drop the worms and he's going to impound the boat and gear.We go round and round again.As we're arguing I notice the tide is starting to come in.I don't say anything and start to apologize for yelling back and he eases up and says you be recieving citataions in the mail [boat reg #'s to appear in court].We push the boat off the flat and back off.He turns around to go back to Moon I.The tide came in behind him and he's got lowcut leather boots on.Now he looks back at us and we just wave bye-bye.He had to walk through some spots up to his knees and you could hear him most of the way back.About a month later I get a bunch of citations in the mail with the wrong spelling of my name and reg# of the boat.I never appeared in court and never heard about it again.I'll never forget his face when he turned around and looked at us as we waved bye-bye!!!!!.
