Bait is moving in to the creeks so fish are not far behind i know upisland closer to NY fish are starting to be caught. These warm days are bringing them closer every day. I start in the beginning of May .

Big body of 20lb fish showed on the oceanfront on herring and Bunker, One Headboat had over 100 20+lb fish earlier in the week, My first Ocean trip last year was May 12... Good numbers of teen and 20lb fish in the bay, Good numbers clammin', lots of bunker in the bays and river.... Heard of the first 40+lb fish (45)taken of the surf along with a few 30's... This is all Northern NJ, NY Harbor waters...

That shot of ocean fish would normally be well offshore, not inshore how it was, just not something we are used to seeing I guess.... The Bay Fishing is what it normally is..
On a side note, from what I hear the run in the upper Chesapeke is the worst seen in years... Gillnets everywhere, never seen so many... (Thats second hand info from one of the top guys down there).
