I guess like myself when the weather gets better we seem to leave the solitude of the dungeon for activities like lawn, house work, yard and ah, fishing. I did make a different style of plug and modified it into 3 different designs. Took a similar shape as the Sea Fly and made it into a cowboy, surfster and pikie. Weighted and drilled them the same except added a chin weight to the cowboy to aid in diving. 5" long. 6 gram belly weight, chin 2-3 gram. Cowboy AYC, others red cedar. Swam a proto of the pikie in a private pond. First cast a small bass smacks it, not once but two cast in a row. That was convincing enough for me. The plug was freash off the lathe w/o sealer, color & eyes. had the idea to take the same style and come up with the variations.

Picked up the lips at Lemire booth @ RISAA. i see also salty had them. I tried red ceder and ayc. Both w/ 8gram belly weght. AYC weghs in w/ hooks approx 2.5oz. ceder , 2oz. Swim better in a calmer water though. Makes a nice wake regardless.
