When you have these hot, sticky soupy days in summer, it starts to wear you down. It's nice to have a warm summer for a change, but when you add in oppressive humidity and the potential for a lot of 90+ days, it can beat you down just like the flu or a bad cold.
The bodies ability to cool down is greatly diminished, and if you live with the AC on, the dry air it produces wipes you out just as much.
So you have some choices.
1) Be hot and sticky and overheated and run down.
2) Be cool, dry and dehydrated and run down.
3) Be out fishing and catch a ton of fish and be run down (afterwards).

I would pick #3.

thanks guys. I'm feeling much better. I had been having chest pains for a few days and decided it was time to go to the ER. they did an ecg on me and it came back a little bit off. normally they would have sent me home but with my family having a history of heart issues they didn't want to take chances. long story short...after a long day of tests and blood work yesterday I was given a clean bill of health and my pains were just an irritation in my sternum from a chest cold I had a few weeks ago. thank you again for all the support. hope to see some of you guys out there in the coming months.

Hope you are ok Freebie.
I had something similar a few weeks back.
Woke up @ 3:30 am to a bad pain in my chest, more in the center of my chest.
Was out on my boat with the pain all day. My wife kept texting me because she was worried and wanted to call the doctor. I text back to her
"No worries, the fishing is great and if it's my time I'm where I want to be "
