Article by Basic Patrick in this months RISAA rag says that the powers that be are saying there are too many stripers and that's why we are not catching a lot.

Personally I dragged lead core line with a bubblegum colored tube and clam worm from Black Point to Bonnet Point yesterday morning on a dropping tide and had one short hit in 2 hours.

2 years ago I would have had 10 decent fish. Water was 68 degrees, marking plenty of bait so what's the deal????

BTW, talk about a lot of people fishing: From Bass Rock all the way to First Rock (including Hazard and Newton Ave) there were at least 50 guys fishing. I did not see one guy hook up but it was daylight so...not suprising.

No boat, back in the suds.
